Instructions

Step 1 - Load the Air Fryer: Place your frozen sausage patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving some space between each patty. This allows the air to circulate evenly around each patty so they cook through on the inside and brown properly on the outside.

Step 2 - Air Frying: Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 5 minutes. Flip each patty over halfway through the cook time for best results. Set a timer in case you forget!

Step 3 - Serve Hot: Carefully remove the patties from the air fryer when they're done cooking, and serve immediately with a breakfast of your choice. How about some air fryer bacon, eggs, and toast? They're great with french toast, too!
Tips
- Use fully cooked patties. It's crucial to use frozen sausage patties labeled as 'fully cooked' on the package. This recipe is not intended for uncooked patties.
- This recipe is for sausage patties, not links. However, you can make air fryer breakfast sausage links easily. Air fry frozen sausage links for 10 to 15 minutes depending on size, flipping halfway through, at 400°F.
- Cook from frozen – do not thaw first.
- If your fully cooked sausage patties are already thawed, just reduce the air fryer cook time, as you’ll only be reheating them. Cook for about 3 minutes instead.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Recipe time and temperature is based on a cold air fryer. If cooking multiple batches, check on them early, as they will cook more quickly than the first batch.
- It is not necessary to preheat your air fryer for this dish.
- Remember to set a timer if your air fryer does not remind you to check the basket halfway through cooking.
- Cook time may vary depending on your specific air fryer. As always, use the cook time and temperature as a guide until you are more comfortable with your specific brand of air fryer.
- If you have an air fryer with multiple compartments, you can cook more of our air fryer breakfast recipes in the other compartment to save yourself time!

Leftovers:
- Cool Down: Let the sausage patties cool down to room temperature before storing them. This helps prevent condensation inside the storage container, which can lead to sogginess.
- Wrap or Container: Place the sausage patties in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. If you're using a container, make sure it has a tight-fitting lid to keep air out.
- Refrigerate: Place the wrapped or containerized sausage patties in the fridge. They should be consumed within 3-4 days for the best quality.
- Freezing (optional): If you want to store them for longer, you can freeze the sausage patties. Place them in a freezer-safe container or wrap them tightly in freezer bags. Label the container or bag with the date for reference. Frozen sausage patties can typically last 1-2 months in the freezer.
- Reheating: When you're ready to eat the leftover sausage patties, you can reheat them in the air fryer oven for a few extra minutes until they're heated through. Alternatively, you can microwave them or warm them in a skillet on the stove.
