Making french toast sticks in the air fryer is easy. They have a short cooking time of under 10 minutes straight out of the freezer, meaning you can have them ready in no time for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Let's get air frying!
Ingredients
- Frozen French Toast Sticks: This is a simple recipe, so any brand of frozen french toast sticks will work! Use your favorite.
How to Air Fry Frozen French Toast Sticks
Step 1
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
Place up to 10 frozen french toast sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don't overlap any pieces! Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may be able to fit more or less. We're using our 7-quart Gourmia air fryer and had enough space for 10.
Step 2
Air fry for 8 minutes or until the french toast sticks are heated all of the way through.
Serve with your favorite maple syrup and choice of toppings, such as fresh berries (our favorites are strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries), whipped cream, a sprinkle of powdered sugar, and/or nuts like air fryer candied pecans! You can also serve with a cinnamon sugar mixture and butter or even peanut butter and jelly. Kids love this fun combo!
Have a toaster-oven style air fryer model with a tray? You can still air fry frozen french toast sticks! Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes or until heated all of the way through.
Recipe Tips
- Keep the french toast sticks frozen until ready to air fry. You will want to air fry them straight out of the freezer.
- Be sure not to over-crowd the air fryer basket. Leave a little room between the french toast sticks for air flow to ensure even cooking.
- We do recommend preheating the air fryer for this recipe to give your air fryer french toast sticks a crispy outside!
- The air fryer we use is the 7 quart Gourmia air fryer from Costco.
- Remember, air fryer brands vary, so you may have to adjust the cook time to your specific air fryer. As always, use the cook time and temperature as a guide until you are more comfortable with your specific brand of air fryer.
- When cooking in multiple batches, be sure to check on the remaining batches early, as they may cook more quickly.
Storage Instructions
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer to crisp them back up.
FAQ
No, you should leave the french toast sticks frozen. If you thaw them first, they might turn out soggy rather than crisp.
Other than the suggestions listed above, one of our favorite things to serve with air fryer french toast sticks is our yogurt fruit dip. It's so tasty! Our entire family loves this one. You can also serve them with jam, nutella, or really anything you like best with french toast.
