Ingredients
- Frozen biscuits: We used Pillsbury Grands buttermilk biscuits, but you can use different brands. Pick your favorite! Keep in mind timing may vary based on biscuit size and brand. However, you can always follow the air fryer time outlined in this recipe no matter what brand you're using.
- Oil spray: Use a natural high smoke point oil such as light olive oil or avocado oil in a spray bottle. Don't use cooking sprays with additives, as they may break down the non-stick lining of your air fryer. Learn more: Our Favorite Oils to use for Air Frying.
How to Air Fry Frozen Biscuits
Step 1 - Spray the basket: Spray the air fryer basket with a pure oil such as avocado oil or olive oil. This step ensures the biscuits will cook evenly and won't stick to the basket. Alternatively, you can also use air fryer parchment paper liners if you prefer.
Step 2 - Add the biscuits: Add the frozen biscuits to the cold basket style air fryer in a single layer. Leave some space between each biscuit to ensure they cook evenly and don't stick together. This is how you ensure crispy biscuits!
Step 3 - Air fry at 330°F: Set the air fryer to 330°F and cook frozen biscuits for approximately 20 minutes cook time. Turn them over halfway through the air frying time. Flipping allows the biscuits to brown evenly and become crispy on all sides.
Step 4 - Serve and enjoy: When the cooked biscuits are lightly golden-brown and heated through, carefully remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate. Serve them for breakfast with jam and melted butter, or as a side dish for dinner!

Tips for Air Frying Frozen Biscuits
- Cook from frozen – do not thaw first.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary so the biscuits can properly brown.
- For toaster oven style air fryers, we recommend baking the biscuits on the middle rack.
- Recipe time and temperature is based on a cold air fryer. If cooking multiple batches, check on them early, as they will cook more quickly than the first batch.
- It is not necessary to preheat your air fryer for this dish.
- Total time may vary depending on your specific air fryer model and size. Like ovens, different air fryers may vary. You might need to adjust the timing according to your model.
- Remember to set a timer if your air fryer does not remind you to check the basket halfway through cooking.

Storing Instructions
If you have any leftover biscuits, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or on the counter in an airtight container for about 2 days. You can reheat them in the air fryer or oven to enjoy later. Biscuits are best enjoyed freshly after baking, but any leftovers are sure to still be delicious!
FAQ
All air fryer models are different, which means you may need to cook your biscuits for less total cook time. Air fry first for 10 minutes, then flip, and cook another 5 minutes or so. Add more time as necessary until you find the perfect time for your air fryer.
Do not thaw your biscuits before air frying. Air fry frozen biscuit dough straight out of the freezer. There is no need to preheat your air fryer oven for golden-brown, crisp results, either!
