Ingredients

- Frozen pork loin chops, boneless: Choose pork chops at least 1½-inch thick. We highly recommend you do not use any pork chops less than 1-inch thick. Very thin pork chops overcook quickly and won't brown. For 1-inch thick pork chops, see our Tips below.
- Oil spray: We use avocado oil in a spray bottle. You can also use olive oil. Make sure to not use an aerosol cooking spray with additives, as this can break down the nonstick lining of your air fryer. Learn more: Air Frying Oils.
- Ranch dressing dip mix packet: You can also use your favorite seasoning for pork chops with this recipe, if you're in a pinch. A simple mix of salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste always works well. Maybe try adding a little dried thyme or rosemary to change things up a bit. It's better to slightly over-season pork chops than to under-season them, so go with your gut and season them evenly on both sides.
How to Cook Frozen Pork Chops in Air Fryer

Step 1 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Once preheated, place the frozen pork chops in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer. Air fry for 10 minutes.

Step 2 - After 10 minutes is up, remove the air fryer basket and spray each pork chop with oil spray. Put the ranch dressing mix in a small bowl and sprinkle half the mix of spices over each pork chop to season.

Step 3 - Using tongs, flip each one and spray with oil and season the opposite side with the remaining ranch dressing mix.

Step 4 - Return the basket to the air fryer and continue cooking the seasoned pork chops for 10-12 minutes,

Step 5 - Check internal temperature with an Instant Read Meat Thermometer inserted into the thickest part of each pork chop. Cook to 140°F. Rest pork chops for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs and enjoy!
Tips
- The safe internal temperature for pork chops is 145°F. However, you want to cook them to 5 degrees below this number (140°F), then allow them to rest 5-10 minutes. This guarantees they will cook to temperature without going over, resulting in perfectly tender pork chops.
- It is normal for pork chops to be slightly pink on the inside at this temperature, so as long as it reads 145°F when serving, it is safe to eat - and delicious!
- Cook pork chops in a single layer to allow the air to circulate around all sides of the pork chops. Do not overcrowd the air fryer, or your pork chops won't cook properly or crisp up.
- Total time may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops. We used 1½-inch thick pork chops.
- For 1-inch thick pork chops, cook for 10 minutes in step 3, then check with a meat thermometer. Add additional time as necessary until the pork chops read 140°F internally (with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chop).
- Use an oil sprayer with your preferred oil. Do not use pressurized cooking sprays with additives, as it can damage the non-stick surface of your air fryer. We prefer avocado oil, as it has a high smoke point and is a more wholesome oil than other kinds.
- Cook time may vary depending on your specific air fryer model and size. You may need to adjust the timing according to your model.
- Recipe time and temperature is based on a preheated air fryer. If cooking multiple batches, check on them early, as they will cook more quickly than the first batch.
- Remember to set a timer if your air fryer does not remind you to turn halfway through cooking.

Using Bone-in Pork Chops
You can air fry frozen bone-in pork chops, but keep in mind they will take slightly longer to cook than boneless pork chops do. Use 1 to 1½-inch thick bone-in chops for best results, and make sure to measure the internal temperature with a meat thermometer as you go.
What if I thawed my pork chops?
If you already defrosted your pork chops, simply start at step 3, seasoning them on each side and cooking for 10-12 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 140°F. Refer to our recipe for boneless pork chops.
What to Do if You Overcook Your Pork Chops
If you overcook your pork chops, don't worry! Although it's impossible to make them tender again, you can minimize the toughness by slicing them very thinly against the grain of the pork.
Slice them to about ¼-inch thickness or just slightly larger, but under 1-inch. Overcooked pork chops are best served with a sauce to mask any toughness, but just slicing them thinly will help significantly.

Storing Leftover Pork Chops Instructions
To store leftovers let the pork chops cool to room temperature, then place them in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in aluminum foil. Store them in the refrigerator and consume within 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer until heated through.
FAQ
Frozen pork chops take a total cook time of approximately 27 minutes to cook in the air fryer at a temperature of 375°F, depending on thickness and whether you use boneless or bone-in chops. Thawed pork chops take a total cook time of approximately 10-12 minutes to cook in the air fryer at a temperature of 375°F, also depending on thickness and variety. Make sure to preheat the air fryer first.
If your pork chops are tough, they are overcooked. Make sure to use an Instant Read Meat Thermometer to measure the internal temperature of the pork chops. Properly cooked pork chops should read 140°F when you remove them from the heat source - then allow them to rest for 5-10 minutes, until they reach 145°F. At a temperature any higher than that, they are overcooked. See above for tips on what to do if this happens.
