Why You Should Air Fry Frozen Pot Pies
Frozen foods always turn out better in the air fryer than they do when you bake them in the oven. Air frying takes less time than using a traditional oven at under 30 minutes, and the results are more consistent, making this an easy meal with a beautiful golden pie crust and tender insides that are never over or under-cooked.

How to Air Fry a Frozen Pot Pie
- Preheat Your Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. This is an important step to this air fryer chicken pot pie recipe, as it ensures your pot pie cooks evenly and develops the flaky golden brown crust everyone loves.
- Prepare the Pot Pie
- Cut a slit into the top of the crust of your frozen pot pie. This allows the pie to vent as it cooks, so the top will not burst and the insides will cook properly.
- Wrap the pot pie in aluminum foil. This helps cook the interior of the pie without overcooking the crust. Do not skip this step or you will wind up with an unevenly cooked pot pie.
- Air Frying Pot Pie
- Air fry for 22 to 25 minutes. Halfway through the air frying time, very carefully remove the foil (use oven mitts) and continue air frying until golden brown. When ready, the internal temperature will ready 165°F as ready by an instant read meat thermometer. Make sure to insert the thermometer into several parts of the pie to ensure it's cooked evenly all of the way through.
