Air Frying Peaches
If you love grilled peaches, you're going to be over the moon about these air-fried peaches. We make them with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, and the results are totally incomparable! Don't miss out on the amazing flavor of these air fryer peaches during peach season!
Georgia Peaches
Air Fryer Dinners is based in Georgia, so it might go without saying that we're all about peach season, here! Georgia peaches are a big deal (if you've tried them, you know), so when summer rolls around, we collect them in bulk to use in everything we can while they're at their peak (May-September).
There is nothing better than perfectly ripe peaches - except for air fried peaches, of course. The taste of these sweet peaches is truly incredible. They'll satisfy your need for dessert with or without ice cream, and are a great way to use up your favorite summertime fruit!

Ingredients
- Peaches: Wash your peaches and cut them in half, then remove the pits. We'll include instructions for that below if you're unfamiliar with cutting peaches. Also see below for a guide to picking out the best peaches to use for this recipe!
- Butter: We advise using unsalted butter for these peaches, but if you only have salted butter, that's okay! Just don't include any extra salt, and it will taste great.
- Brown Sugar: Light or dark, it doesn't matter. Use whichever you have on hand. White granulated sugar isn't the same, so make sure you're using brown sugar.
- Ground Cinnamon: This isn't strictly necessary, but that pop of cinnamon flavor pairs perfectly with sweet peaches.
- Kosher Salt: Just a pinch. Omit this if you're using salted butter.
For full measurements, see the recipe card at the bottom of the page.

Choosing Ripe Peaches
Look for peaches that are fresh, ripe, and juicy for best results. To see if a peach is ready to eat, press on it very softly. It should feel a bit soft and not firm or mushy. Don't press too hard, or you will bruise or squish the peach. Ripe peaches also have a strong, sweet smell.
Peaches continue to ripen after they are picked, so if your peaches aren't quite ready yet, leave them out on the counter at room temperature. Placing them in a paper bag will speed things up a bit. Keep in mind, though, that peaches won't always come to full ripeness if they've been picked too early, so try to find peaches that are already ripe for best results.
How to Air Fry Peaches

Prepare the Butter Mixture
Begin by cutting your peaches in half and removing the pits. Then, place butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a microwave-safe small bowl. Cover the bowl with a paper towel or paper plate for easy cleanup, in case the butter spatters. Then, microwave for 30-45 seconds to melt the butter.

Add a Parchment Liner (Optional)
Line the air fryer basket with a parchment liner if desired. This is one of our favorite air fryer tools for easy cleanup, but please note that it can be dangerous, as the parchment liner can fly up into the burner. Make sure it is secured under the peaches and only use parchment liners if you feel comfortable.

Air Fry Peaches
Place the cut side of the peaches facing up in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer. Evenly spoon the melted butter mixture into the peach pits, then air fry for 10 minutes at 350°F until the peaches are soft and the top is bubbly.

Enjoy Your Peaches
Use silicone-tip tongs to carefully remove the peaches from the air fryer basket. Top with vanilla ice cream and candied pecans (our favorite), and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Peaches are done when they are tender enough to cut with a spoon.
- If you prefer to serve without the skin, allow the peaches to cool slightly and remove the skin before serving.
- Be sure to use parchment paper made for the air fryer, as it has holes in it and allows for the air to flow around the food. Please note, however, that air fryer parchment paper can be dangerous if not properly secured underneath the peaches. Only use it if you're comfortable.
- Cut the peaches in half and take out the pits. You don't need to peel them! The skins will get soft when you bake the peaches in the oven. Plus, peach skins have vitamins, so keeping them on makes them even healthier and tastier (source).
- Use an air fryer parchment paper liner for easier clean up.
- Immediately soak air fryer basket in hot soapy water for easier cleanup. See our guide on How to Clean an Air Fryer, How Often, and Why for full details.
- Cook time may vary depending on your specific air fryer model. As always, use the cook time as a guide until you are more comfortable with your specific brand of air fryer.
- If cooking in multiple batches, be sure to check on the remaining batches early, as they may cook more quickly.
Storage Instructions
- Store leftover air fryer peaches in an airtight container in the fridge after allowing them to cool. Reheat in the air fryer for about 3-5 minutes, until heated through. Air fried peaches are best served fresh, but will last 3-4 days when stored in the refrigerator.
Toppings for Air Fried Peaches
- Granola is a great addition to air fryer peaches. Add it after air frying for a little bit of crunch. We like the Bear Naked brand of granola, which comes in a few different flavors to choose from.
- Yogurt is perfect for serving with air fried peaches. You can cut the peaches up and mix them into the yogurt after air frying. Give it a try for a super sweet, lovely breakfast or dessert!
- Maple syrup is another sweetener you can add to peaches after air frying them. It might be a little too sweet for some along with the brown sugar and cinnamon, but if you love maple flavor, it's worth trying.
- Walnuts, almonds, pecans, or other nuts make a great addition to sprinkle on top of these peaches. We love using our air fryer candied pecans.
- Ice cream is always delicious with these peaches. We like vanilla, but you can also try butternut pecan ice cream along with our candied pecans for a truly special combination.
- Serve them with pancakes or waffles for a sweet, irresistible breakfast.

FAQ
Yes, although depending on the size of the fruit, the timing will vary, as nectarines and apricots are typically much smaller than peaches. Test and see what works best for your model of air fryer. You can also try air frying plums!
No, you can use other types of sugar. Coconut sugar would work, too, or an alternative sweetener like honey or maple syrup.
