Place 1 Tablespoon of butter in each ramekin and place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (with the ramekins in the basket). Air fry for 2 minutes to melt the butter.
Carefully remove the air fryer basket. Crack an egg onto a small dish, being mindful not to break the yolk. Gently slide the egg into one of the ramekins. Repeat the process with the other egg, placing it in the remaining ramekin.
2 large eggs
Close the air fryer basket and set the air fryer temperature to 375°F. Air fry the eggs in the butter for 4 minutes. Note - there's no need to flip the eggs; the top will cook nicely, resulting in a beautiful over easy egg with a runny yolk. If you would like your eggs cooked further, see below for times and temps.
Carefully remove each ramekin from the air fryer basket and transfer the eggs to a serving plate. Season the eggs with salt and pepper to your liking.
Salt and pepper

Notes
Use butter, not cooking oil spray: Using butter is essential to prevent the eggs from sticking and adds a rich flavor to the eggs. Avoid using oil spray, as it can make the eggs stick and become rubbery.
Ramekin alternatives: If you don't have 4-inch ramekins, you can use any 4-inch round, heat-safe container, such as silicone cups, or even a 4-inch round metal measuring cup with a handle.
Cook time variations: Cook times may vary depending on your specific air fryer model. Use the provided time and temperature as a guide and adjust as needed for your specific air fryer model.
Cold air fryer: Time and temperature are based on a cold air fryer. If cooking in multiple batches, be sure to check on the remaining batches early, as they may cook more quickly due to residual heat.
